World decathlon record holder Roman Sebrle went down a storm at the annual Czech Athlete of the Year award thanks to his crooning ability, reports spikesmag.com.
The multi-event legend was asked by the director of the programme to perform a song during the gala evening in Prague, which was also screened live on Czech TV.
Sebrle, who is not known to have a major background in music, duly obliged by performing ‘I’m no longer 20, my love’ and wowed the guests with his vocal ability.
The Czech Athlete of the Year winner for a third successive year was javelin thrower Barbora Spotakova, who landed World Championship silver in Berlin.
Sebrle finished 11th in the World Championship decathlon and wound up fifth in the vote.
