A former Scottish international athlete has become an inadvertent YouTube hit after her super-tight Spandex pants split as she bent down to push the bobsleigh at the sport’s World Championships, spikesmag.com reports.
Brakewoman Gillian Cooke was left red-faced after the incident left her bearing her bottom. However, the former international long jumper and pole vaulter appeared unaware of the incident and completed the run.
Gillian Cooke and her co-partner Nicola Minichiello are both former international athletes.
Edinburgh-born Cooke represented Scotland at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in the pole vault before switching events and finishing 11th the long jump final at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Her bobsleigh team-mate Nicola Minichiello is a former GB heptathlete, who represented her country in the European Cup, before switching to bobsleigh in 2001.
Despite the mishap Cooke and Minichiello finished seventh at the World Championships in St Moritz, Switzerland.
