Two-time former 110m hurdles champion Colin Jackson is dusting down his sequinned leotard and is set to join the Strictly Come Dancing trail again in the new year, spikesmag.com reports.

Jackson, who finished runner-up to cricketer Darren Gough in the 2005 series of the popular TV show, is set to appear at the O2 in Greenwich next month for a live version of Strictly where he will up against the likes of actress Patsy Kensit and ex-Tory politician Ann Widdecombe.

The British hurdler and regular BBC athletics commentator will be partnered by Ola Jordan and he is relishing the prospect of showing off his hip swinging moves again.

It made me believe I can still learn to do something quite well," he told newsshopper.co.uk of his time on the TV show in 2005.

“Most of the time you don’t believe in yourself but when the magic happens, it’s uplifting.”

Strictly Come Dancing Live takes place at The O2, Greenwich on January 22 and January 23.
