MP: Probably Cicely Tyson when she was younger because she can take a serious role and really do it justice.

What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever said to you?

MP: Can I have your socks? It was in Monaco, it was like, ‘they’re dirty but I don’t care.’

MP: I don’t have one. I like everything about me physically.

What is the one thing that you have to take with you around the circuit?

If you weren’t an athlete what would you be doing?

MP: Probably an educational councillor at a nursery.

What is the worst thing I’ve ever worn?

MP: Not by choice, but when I was in Third Grade my mother went away on vacation and my father had to dress me and I wore this dress with some pink jeans and some cowboy boots to school.  We laugh about it now, but what was he thinking?

What colour is Wednesday?

MP: Blue. No-one has ever asked what colour is Wednesday.

What came first the chicken or the egg?

MP: Tennis. Just because I have a fascination for Venus and Serena Williams and I think if I had taken up tennis when I was younger I would have been quite good at it.

If you could invite five guests to a dinner party who would they be and why?

MP: I would invite Jesus because I want to know about his life and why he was so secure in knowing what his calling was. Oprah Winfrey, because as a woman she has overcome so many things. Wilma Rudolph (the 1960 Olympic 100m, 200m and 4x100m champion) because she has overcome such difficulty in her life. Then my other two people would be Barack Obama, the coolest man living. To watch him and answer questions in such an intelligent way is very admirable. Denzil Washington because he is one of favourite actors. I would like to understand how he can walk into a room and capture it.
