Lemaitre 'The Master' tells us something new
Christophe Lemaitre blitzed to the European 100m gold in Barcelona on Wednesday.

***He left High School earlier this year at the age of 20
***His coach, Pierre Carraz, aged 70 is not a professional coach but guided Paul Arpin to a bronze medal at the 1987 World Cross Country Championships
***He was born in Annecy some 35km south of Geneva in Switzerland. Annecy has an athletics tradition and staged the 1998 World Junior Championships and 2003 and 2008 European Cup. He trains in Aix-les-Bains

***After just one year in the sport he could run 10.96 for the 100m
***In Barcelona he became the first white man to win the men’s European 100m title since Frank Emmelmann of the GDR in 1982.
