UK women’s 800m champion and Great Britain international Jemma Simpson is next up to take our spikesmag.com interview decathlon

1) Your best subject at school

My favourite subject was art, because I would always look forward to going to that lesson. I suppose I liked creative subjects.

2) The best meal you’ve ever eaten

In Las Vegas my friend, agent and I went up the Stratosphere and had a gorgeous steak meal in a restaurant that's on a moving/revolving floor that looks out over the whole of Vegas. It was awesome.

3) The thing that keeps you awake at night

Chris Thompson (boyfriend)!!

4) What you are most proud of

Chris, for coming so far with his running after nearly giving up in 2008. (Chris Thompson has ran personal best times of 13:11 for 5000m and 27:29 for 10,000m this season)

5) The living person you most admire

Nelson Mandela

6) Your favourite sport besides track and field

After getting into the World Cup this year I might actually have to say football. Apart from that I love horse racing.

7) If anyone could play you in a film who would it be and why?

Sandra Bullock, not because she looks like me or anything but because she is my favorite female actress and she is hilarious and did a great portrayal of the real life character 'Leigh Anne Tuohy' in the Blindside.

8) The best thing you’ve ever bought

My laptop (mac)

9) Something you’re embarrassed about

My TV interviews. I don’t like to hear the sounds of my own voice.

10) Your favourite book or film

Book - 'The meaning of the 21st century' Film - 'Gladiator'
