Jeanette Kwakye takes the Pop Quiz
Olympic 100m finalist Jeanette Kwakye is next up to answer our daft Pop Quiz questions. Here we find out why the British athlete is not too fond of her calves and why she doesn’t run in the sprint hurdles.
What did you have for breakfast today?
I had a raisin bagel.
Who would play me in a film and why?
Estelle, because she looks like me.
What colour is Wednesday?
Wednesday is orange because it is like the gym. I don’t know why but I associate the gym with the colour orange.
If you could have a superpower what would it be and why?
I would have supersonic speed, although I don’t know if that would constitute as cheating.
What would be your theme tune?
It would probably be
Eye Of The Tiger from the film
Rocky III. I love that film. I love
the montage when he is training.
How much money do you have in your pocket at the moment?
None, because I don’t have any pockets at the moment. I’m broke. Penniless.
Who is the most famous person on your mobile?
Estelle.
The least favourite part of your body?
I don’t like my calves. I always think they are too big even though they are a major reason why I’m fast.
If you could five dinner party guests who would they be and why?
Will Smith because I would like to know the secrets of his success. I would have
Nelson Mandela for his whole life experience and Probably, my mum because she could cook for us. Maybe, Usain Bolt because he could make us laugh and he could do some dance moves or
David Beckham because he is just fit [laughing].
If you could star in any other athletics event what would it be and why?
I have got a thing for hurdles and also the long jump. I am rubbish at the hurdles because my co-ordination is poor. Those are the two events that I would love to do. Long jump is such a sexy event. You can look good landing and give a little shake as you are walking off.
You don’t look good sprinting because it looks like someone is trying to chase you.
What is the one item that you can never leave behind on the circuit?
If I didn’t have my iPod I would crumble.
What come first the chicken or the egg?
It would have to be the egg because the chicken cannot just be made – it would have to come from somewhere.
What about your perfect day?
It would be a rest day. Just chilling with the girls at home, nice food, nice dinner without feeling too full or without feeling guilty – a couple of drinks and relaxing listening to music.
Which nation has the coolest kit?
The USA. I always try and get their kit but no-one wants to give it to me. I just love it. You could wear it out on the street. My main US friends are Lolo Jones and Stephanie Durst I get on really well with them.
If you could be an animal what would you be and why?
I would be a cheetah for obvious reasons or a frog or a toad, something that lives in the water.
If you could play another sport what would it be and why?
Tennis because I love Serena and Venus, although I don’t know if I’m fit enough to play it!
