Hi Guys…
So this is it. Just a few hours to go until the biggest race and performance of my life.
There is not much more I can do apart from go through the race in my head over and over and prepare my body for what is going to be the toughest test of my athletics career so far.
I arrived in Beijing on the 12th of August and it has been amazing. It is one of those things you cannot describe and you wish that everyone close to you could experience.
I am rooming with, Donna Fraser, Marilyn Okoro, Montell Douglas, Natasha Danvers and Emma Ania.
It is an apartment with a laugh a minute but a wealth of Olympic spirit and determination that could not be better.
This is Donna’s 4th Olympics and to hear her experiences makes mine a lot easier as I kind of know what to expect when I step out into the birds nest. Marilyn warmed up the track for me this morning with her relaxed heat and Tyrone also is progressing well, this gives me more confidence as we are all in good shape.
I feel fit, ready and able to put together performances that are worthy of my hard work this year and of my country. Being part of Team GB is an honour and I cannot wait until tomorrow to step out onto the track and represent the Brits!
The buzz on Team GB is good and I have great hopes that the athletics will push Team GB through the roof and put us on course for our best ever games at London 2012.
So until next time, please keep fingers, toes and eyes crossed for me.
I am ready, so LETS GO!
