Hellooooooooooo Spikes readers can you feel the excitement?!?!?!

(I want you to read all the descriptive words I am going to use and imagine me screaming them out loud!!)
I have just had the best 3 weeks of my career so far. So how can I sum up my Olympic experience?!?!

To use the word AMAZING is an understatement! It was everything I had dreamed of and more. I have dreamed about the Olympics since I was a little girl and to be part of the most successful Olympic team since 1908 was CRAZY!!

To be the only European in the 100m final for both men and women can only be described as INSANE!! To run 3 personal bests back to back and come 6th in an Olympic final is MAAAAAAAAAD!!

A personal letter to me from our PM Gordon Brown, now that is UNBELIEVABLE!!!

It makes me wish 2012 was tomorrow, just skip the worlds, commonwealths and Europeans!!!

OK, So now you know how I feel, you would also know that from my previous posts I felt good and that my preparation was spot on. This is was mainly due to my coach Michael, my physio, Mark Young and my nutritionist James. These guys knew how to get me ready physically and I felt so good going into these games!!

Speaking of my nutritionist, he was mortified to find out today that I had an affair with chicken nuggets in the Olympic village (after my events of course), after all, Usain Bolt swore by them for his 100m world record, so I suppose it wouldn’t hurt… surely?!?! Then again, I’m not 6’6’’ and I can’t run 19.30 over 200m!! But they did taste good!!

Now I am home after walking the great wall of China with the male sprinters on the team and Christine O and believe you me I think the tourists on the wall were more interested in us than the wall!!

Us on the wall!! [Jeanette Kwakye on the Great Wall of China with Michael Bingham, Vikki Barr, Marilyn Okoro, Montell Douglas, Christine Ohuruogu, Anyika Onuora, Tyrone Edgar, Rikki Fifton]

I can only take happy memories from China and I can only build on my performances to be one of the worlds fastest women!  So September will be a month of great racing and more travelling for me.

Exciting times ahead and you are all coming with me!!!
